Nekko® Grey

Nekko: the aesthetics of wood, the robustness of high-end composite.
Full co-extruded board — a dense core of wood fibers and polyethylene, wrapped in a polymer protective layer — Nekko combines realistic natural grain, stain resistance, and color stability over time, available in two shades: Brown and Grey.

The alliance of naturalness and performance

  • High-end co-extrusion: core and envelope: Nekko is a full co-extruded composite — 55% wood fibers and 30% high-density polyethylene for the core, covered with a distinct protective envelope. This double structure provides maximum resistance to UV, food stains, and weathering, while preserving the natural appearance of wood.
  • A realistic and nuanced grain: Brown evoking exotic woods or grey reminiscent of naturally weathered wood — each board features a fine grain and shades that faithfully imitate natural wood, for an authentic and contemporary look from installation.
  • Controlled dimensional stability: Solid profile 24 mm thick, slightly curved to limit warping. Density of 1.32 g/cm³ and Brinell hardness of 71 MPa — a robust, stable board that resists pedestrian loads and climatic variations without deforming.
  • Quick and clean installation: Extruded for the Grad® clip system on aluminum rails, the fastening is completely invisible. Installation is quick, removable if necessary, without visible screws — for a terrace with perfect finishes.
  • Stain and slip resistance: The co-extrusion layer forms an effective barrier against common dirt, including food stains. The surface also ensures very good grip even when wet or barefoot — an essential safety point for outdoor decking.

Composite aging

Unlike natural woods, Nekko does not turn grey over time — it stabilizes. A slight discoloration occurs within the first three months after installation, due to UV exposure, then the shade sets and remains stable. The Grey color offers better resistance to UV aging than the Brown color — a point to consider depending on the project’s exposure.
Nekko Grey: matte grey shade and fine grain, with a contemporary and minimalist look. Ideal for modern architectural projects, with the best UV resistance in the range.
Routine maintenance
Regular sweeping to remove sand, gravel, and foreign objects, followed by rinsing with clear water, is sufficient to maintain the surface. The use of acidic, alkaline, or corrosive products is strictly prohibited — they alter the co-extrusion layer.
In case of stains
Greasy stains should be treated quickly with an absorbent cloth, then a soft brush and warm soapy water. In case of persistent dry stains, light local sanding in the direction of the boards is possible. For mold, use a mild detergent or a little bleach, a soft brush, and rinse thoroughly.
Please note
Keep the deck away from any direct heat source (barbecue, etc.). Avoid splashes of gasoline or corrosive products. Localized heavy loads are not recommended — the composite is subject to creep under high and prolonged load.

Treatment process

Nekko® boards are manufactured using a co-extrusion process, combining the mechanical performance of a composite core with the resistance of a high-performance protective envelope.

The core of the board consists of a mixture of 55% wood fibers, 30% recycled polymers, and 15% technical additives. This composition gives the board its rigidity, dimensional stability, and mechanical resistance.

During extrusion, this core is simultaneously covered with a protective outer layer. This co-extruded envelope is composed of 45% wood fibers, 40% polymers, and 15% specially selected additives to improve resistance to stains, moisture, UV, and climatic variations.

The two materials are fused in a single operation to form a homogeneous and durable board. This co-extrusion technology allows for a high-quality surface finish while preserving the structural properties of the reinforced core composite.

After extrusion, the boards are cooled, calibrated, and inspected to ensure precise geometry and consistent quality before installation.
