Aluminium joint bar

Éclisses Grad®

Structural continuity and mechanical performance of rails

  • Ensure perfect rail alignment
  • Guarantee the mechanical continuity of the structure
  • Allow splicing of similar or different rails
  • Improve the transfer of point loads
  • Adapt to complex configurations
  • Optimize the durability of the structure

Technical specifications

Grad® aluminium joint bar are essential connecting pieces that ensure the junction between two rails while guaranteeing their alignment and mechanical continuity.

Designed to work with all Grad® systems, with the exception of the mini-rail, they also allow for the transition between different types of rails, thus offering great design freedom on site.

Beyond a simple connection, they play a structural role by improving load transfer and securing the entire structure.

Instructions for use

The aluminium joint bar have been designed to ensure a reliable connection between two Grad® rails, guaranteeing their perfect continuity and precise alignment. They also contribute to the overall rigidity of the structure.

Installation is simple: the aluminium joint bar are inserted directly inside the relevant rails, as illustrated here with PR39 rails.

During splicing, they allow for efficient connection of the two rails, while a Top Link ensures the correct spacing between the last clip of the first rail and the first clip of the next rail.

To ensure the stability of the assembly and comply with installation recommendations, the connection must be supported by a Top Lift® pedestal.

Aluminium joint bar ensure a transition between different rails, for example, for a change in level.

Allows the association of two rails with different clip spacings (e.g., ventilation board)

A solution for every rail

To ensure perfect continuity between the various Grad® rails, our R&D team has developed a complete range of aluminium joint bar specifically designed for each rail profile. Each aluminium joint bar is thus adapted to the characteristics of its rail to ensure precise alignment, a reliable connection, and optimal structural continuity.

To address the most complex configurations, some aluminium joint bar have also been designed to ensure the connection between two different rail profiles. This solution notably allows connecting a PR39 rail to a Flat Rail during a change in level, while maintaining the coherence and stability of the entire deck.

Thanks to this approach, the Grad® system easily adapts to site constraints while ensuring compliant and durable implementation.
