Solarium Beach

A renovation project respectful of the site

The intervention aimed to be as non-invasive as possible on pre-existing mineral infrastructure. Rather than radically transforming the site, the teams optimized the existing spaces by integrating more natural and comfortable contemporary elements, while preserving the public function and accessibility of the solarium.

Varied usage areas for everyone

The renovation combined several types of amenities: shaded areas, misting spaces, wind protection, public showers, and green spaces. The project aims not only to offer an enriched visual experience but also to create comfortable places for users, whether for relaxing, playing sports, or simply enjoying the sea.

To enhance this large outdoor space while meeting climatic constraints (sunlight, proximity to the sea), the choice fell on MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® decking, a very durable and stable board over time, perfectly suited for heavy use in a maritime environment. The dark hue of the bamboo was also chosen to reduce glare in direct sunlight and to elegantly contrast with the existing concrete.

This project was carried out with the Grad® system on PR56 rails, offering invisible fixing of the boards and very clean lines across the entire surface. The choice of this system allowed for a quick, precise, and elegant installation, while ensuring access to the underlying structure if necessary. Thanks to this clip technology, the project combines aesthetics, functionality, and durability, even in a busy urban context exposed to maritime weather.
