An outdoor room
With the addition of a modern extension to the villa, the outdoor space needed to be reinterpreted to better connect the interior and exterior and bring more visual diversity and color to the garden. The owner’s goal was to create an “outdoor room” that could be as visually appreciated as it was used daily.
Tantimber® – Thermofraké cladding
To meet these wishes, the chosen cladding for this project is Tantimber® – Thermofraké, a wood species that combines a natural aesthetic with a certain robustness suitable for outdoor applications. This material helps enhance the warm visual character of the facade while aligning with the building’s contemporary architectural style.
The Grad® solution for a clean finish
The cladding was installed using the Grad® “Flat Rail” system, which allows for invisible fixing of the boards. Thanks to this process, no screws are visible, giving the facade perfectly clean and uniform lines. This technology also facilitates precise and neat installation, while creating visual continuity between the different exterior surfaces of the project.
A successful blend of interior and exterior
The project has created a harmonious outdoor space where the garden and modern architecture naturally complement each other. The Grad® system met the project’s aesthetic challenges by combining technical performance with a refined visual result, thus promoting a fluid and elegant outdoor living experience.
